AEB v1.1.0 에서 SmartThings 연결이 Server 모드 / Chat 모드 두 갈래로 분리됐어요. 케이스별로 해야 할 일이 다릅니다. 자기 케이스부터 보세요.

AEB v1.1.0 splits the SmartThings connection into two modes: Server and Chat. What you need to do depends on your case — jump to yours.

🤔 왜 이렇게 바꿨나요?
1.0.x 까진 폰 여러 대가 같은 SmartThings 토큰을 공유했어요. 한 폰이 토큰을 새로 발급받으면, 다른 폰의 토큰이 갑자기 무효가 되어 "다시 로그인" 알림이 끊임없이 뜨는 문제가 있었습니다.
1.1.0 부터는 폰마다 별도 연결을 가집니다. 한 폰은 24/7 서버 역할(Server), 본폰은 챗 역할(Chat) — 서로 간섭하지 않아요.
🤔 Why the change?
Up to 1.0.x, multiple phones shared the same SmartThings token. When one phone refreshed it, the others' token suddenly went invalid — endless "please re-login" prompts.
Starting 1.1.0, each phone has its own connection. One phone runs 24/7 (Server), your main phone runs chat (Chat) — they don't step on each other.

케이스 A — 폰 1대만 쓰시던 분

거의 할 게 없어요. 옛 연결은 그대로 인계됩니다.

  • A-1. 앱 켜기. 평소처럼 동작하면 끝.
  • A-2. "다시 로그인 필요" 알림이 뜬 경우만 한 번 재인증.
  • A-3. 그 폰이 늘 켜져 있는 폰이면 → Server 모드로 두세요.
  • A-4. 들고 다니는 본폰이면 → Chat 모드로 두세요.
  • A-5. 모드 확인/변경: 드로어(☰) → 설정 → "SmartThings 연결" 카드에서.

Case A — Only one phone

Almost nothing to do. Your old connection carries over.

  • A-1. Open the app. If it works as before, you're done.
  • A-2. Only if a "please re-login" notification appears, re-authenticate once.
  • A-3. If that phone stays on 24/7 → leave it in Server mode.
  • A-4. If it's the phone you carry around → Chat mode.
  • A-5. Check / switch mode: drawer (☰) → Settings → "SmartThings connection" card.

케이스 B — 폰 2대 이상 쓰시던 분

토큰을 공유하던 1.0.x 구조에서 폰마다 독립 연결로 바뀌었습니다. 폰별로 역할만 한 번 정해주시면 됩니다.

  • B-1. 두 폰 모두 업데이트 후 앱을 한 번씩 열어주세요. 기존 연결은 인계됩니다.
  • B-2. 역할을 정합니다 — 늘 켜두는 디바이스(안드로이드 TV·셋탑·예비폰)는 Server, 들고 다니는 본폰은 Chat.
  • B-3. 모드 확인/변경: 각 폰에서 드로어(☰) → 설정 → "SmartThings 연결" 카드.
  • B-4. 본폰에서 Chat 연결이 비어있다면 → "SmartThings 연결" 카드에서 한 번 더 로그인하시면 됩니다. 두 폰이 서로 다른 토큰을 가집니다.
  • B-5. "다시 로그인 필요" 알림이 뜨는 폰만 그때 재인증 — 두 폰을 한꺼번에 재인증할 필요 없습니다.
  • B-6. 토큰 충돌(401) 알림이 더 이상 안 뜨면 정상.
  • B-7. (선택) 1.0.x 시절 만들어진 잔여 SmartApp 들은 동작엔 영향 없습니다. 깔끔히 정리하고 싶으시면 SmartThings 앱 → 설정 → 연결된 서비스에서 직접 삭제.

Case B — Two or more phones

The 1.0.x token-sharing model is replaced with one connection per phone. You just need to pick each phone's role, once.

  • B-1. Open the app on both phones after the update. Existing connections carry over.
  • B-2. Pick a role per phone — always-on devices (Android TV, set-top box, spare phone) = Server, the phone you carry = Chat.
  • B-3. Check / switch mode: drawer (☰) → Settings → "SmartThings connection" card on each phone.
  • B-4. If your main phone has no Chat connection yet → tap the "SmartThings connection" card and sign in once. The two phones will hold separate tokens.
  • B-5. Re-authenticate only the phone that shows a "please re-login" notification — you don't need to re-auth both at the same time.
  • B-6. No more 401 / token-conflict notifications means it's working.
  • B-7. (Optional) Leftover SmartApps from 1.0.x don't affect operation. If you want a clean slate, delete them in SmartThings app → Settings → Linked services.

케이스 C — 처음 사용이신 분

신경 쓰실 게 없습니다. 퀵스타트만 따라가시면 신구조가 자동 적용돼요.

  • C-1. 무작정 따라하기 (퀵스타트) 1번부터 순서대로.
  • C-2. Step 1 디바이스 = Server / Step 2 본폰 = Chat 으로 자동 배치됩니다.
  • C-3. 별도 마법사·재인증 없음.

Case C — First-time user

Nothing special. Just follow the quickstart and the new structure applies itself.

  • C-1. Run through Quickstart from step 1.
  • C-2. Step 1's device = Server, Step 2's main phone = Chat — assigned automatically.
  • C-3. No wizard, no re-auth.

케이스 D — 뭐가 뭔지 모르겠을 때 (Fallback)

다 꼬였다 싶으면 깨끗이 밀고 다시 시작하는 게 가장 빠릅니다.

  • D-1. 안드로이드 설정 → 앱 → AEB → 저장공간 → 데이터 삭제.
  • D-2. (그래도 이상하면) AEB 앱 자체를 삭제 후 재설치.
  • D-3. 케이스 C(처음 사용)와 동일하게 퀵스타트 1번부터.
  • D-4. PAT(개인 토큰) 만 새로 발급하면 됩니다. SmartThings 계정·디바이스는 그대로 보존돼요.
  • D-5. 그래도 안 되면 두더싱 카페에 "1.1.0 마이그레이션 케이스 D 막힘" 으로 글 남겨주세요.

Case D — When nothing makes sense (Fallback)

If things are tangled, wiping clean and starting over is the fastest fix.

  • D-1. Android Settings → Apps → AEB → Storage → Clear data.
  • D-2. (Still off?) Uninstall and reinstall the AEB app.
  • D-3. Then follow Quickstart from step 1, just like a new user.
  • D-4. You only need to reissue your PAT (personal token). Your SmartThings account and devices stay untouched.
  • D-5. Still stuck? Post in the Doodersing cafe with "1.1.0 migration case D stuck".
